Weekend Recap – October 11-12, 2025

Oct 13, 2025

The Sharks took on the Maine Nordiques in a weekend homestand for Parents Weekend, and they did not disappoint their guests!

Saturday evening’s game was an offensive show with seven different Sharks lighting the lamp.  Alec Dahlvang kicked off the scoring halfway through the first.  Wyatt Strahan and Caden Shafer added to the first-period scoring, sending the Sharks up 3-0 headed into the first intermission.  In the second, Spencer Nicoloff and James Steinberg both added to the scoring.  Jack Baker and Sam Barnard added two more in the third to add to the Sharks’ commanding lead.  Nicklas Walker was stellar in net, stopping all 45 shots he faced, notching his first shutout of the season.  The final score was 7-0 Sharks.

Sunday afternoon started off a little slower offensively, given the Sharks spent the earlier part of the first period killing off penalties.  They then settled into their game, and Ryder Pisiak led the scoring with an outlet pass from Eli McCarthy, which led to his breakaway opportunity.  The two clubs went into the first intermission tied at 1 apiece.  Maine started the scoring in the second, but the Sharks answered back with a beautiful goal by Brendan Dalton.  Again, they went into intermission tied, but early in the third period, Jack Plummer sent a rocket over the goalie’s glove to give the Sharks the lead.  Maine quickly answered back, but the Sharks locked in.  Jace Tourtillott notched the go-ahead goal, and there was no looking back.  Brendan Dalton and Gustav Martinsson added to the lead.  Dalton found the back of the net a second time in the third period for his third goal of the game.  His three goals, along with his two assists, gave him an impressive 5-point night.  This was also his first NA3HL hat trick.  The Sharks went on to beat Maine by a final score of 7-4.

The Sharks hit the road on Wednesday afternoon to face off against the New Jersey Titans in Middletown, NJ.  Puck drop is at 1pm.  You can catch all the action on NAHL TV.
