Nov 14, 2025

The Sharks had an early rise time to head up to Maine for a two game set against the Nordiques.

In Wednesday afternoon’s matchup, the Sharks struck first with a goal from Spencer Nicoloff in the opening period, capitalizing on a rebound from a point shot by Jay Montgomery.  Midway through the second, Sean Bailey extended the lead on a breakaway after a beautiful outlet pass from Brendan Dalton.  Just 80 seconds later, Eli McCarthy tipped in a power-play goal off a shot from James Steinberg at the point.  Bailey completed the scoring in the third, ripping one over the Nordiques goalie’s shoulder for his second goal of the game.  In net, Will Zinnen was outstanding, turning aside all 31 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season.

On Thursday, the Nordiques came ready to battle, jumping out to an early two-goal lead in the first.  But the Sharks answered right back.  Ryder Pisiak opened the scoring for the Sharks with a beautiful shot from between the circles through traffic.  Moments later, Brendan Dalton tied it up off of a pass from Sean Bailey from behind the net.  The two clubs headed into the first intermission tied at 2.  Easy in the second, Brendan Dalton found the back of the net again on the power play to give the Sharks the lead and they never looked back.  Three minutes later, Sam Barnard flipped one in from the back door off a great setup from Ryder Pisiak and Spencer Nicoloff.  Wyatt Strahan capped off the second period scoring on a odd man rush down the left wing side.  Sean Bailey added the insurance empty net goal late in the third to seal the victory.  Will Zinnen was solid in net again for the Sharks.

These two wins extended the Sharks winning streak to four games and pushed them past the Jr. Mountain Kings into first place in the East Division.

The Sharks are back in action next Friday, November 21st when they head to Massachusetts to face the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings in the East Division Showcase.  Puck drop is at 7:00pm and you can catch all the action on NATV.
