The Sharks hosted the New Jersey Titans in a midweek matinee in Long Beach and come up victorious on overtime.
The Titans got on the board first with a goal midway through the second period. But the Sharks quickly answered back when James Steinberg flipped an outlet pass to a breaking Sean Bailey who scored his 22nd goal of the season. Later in the second, JD DiTommaso found Wyatt Strahan with a beautiful pass from behind the net. Strahan one timed it past the Titan’s tendy. The Titans tied it up in the third to force overtime.
With 4 seconds left in overtime, captain Jay Montgomery netted the game winner. Will Zinnen was solid in net for the Sharks stopping 48 of 50 shots.
The Sharks are back in action next Wednesday and Thursday when they head to Elmira to face the Buzz.
