DOM SACCO COMMITS TO NCAA ST. NORBERTS COLLEGE
The Long Beach Sharks are proud to announce that forward Dom Sacco has committed to St. Norberts College to continue his hockey career at the NCAA collegiate level. Sacco turned a lot of heads when he closed-out his junior career with the NY Aviators last season when he put up 49 pts. in just 15 reagular season games (3.3 ppg). The talented Brooklyn, NY forward has climbed through the Junior Hockey ranks with stops in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers, Lincoln Stars and Muskegeon Lumber Jacks before heading back to his hometown Brooklyn where it all started.
“Anyone who has had a chance to see Dom play knows what a special player he is and that he is always a threat to score anytime he hits the ice”, said Long Beach Sharks Owner Jim Loughran. “He has proven he can play at any level and when given the chance to play his game he thrives when the puck is on his stick. He has incredible speed and the hands to go with it”, added Loughran.
Sacco found a good fit when he decided to return home to Brooklyn after speaking with Head Coach Mike Stanaway. It didn’t take long for Sacco to make an impact with his new team and Head Coach. “I am thrilled for Dominick as he has finally reached his goal of playing for a top end NCAA Program. We are looking forward to watching everything he can accomplish on the ice and in the classroom.” stated Stanaway.
So on Behalf of the entire Long Beach Sharks program…..CONGRATULATIONS DOM!!!!…….WELL DONE!!!!!
