NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 7, 2021. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

Central Division Star of the Week: Zach Dosan, Goaltender, Wausau Cyclones

Wausau goalie Zach Dosan, 19, had a busy and memorable weekend as he led the Cyclones to a weekend split of their road series in Rochester. The 6’1/190 lbs. native of Rosemount, MN, stopped 90 of 95 shots in the two games and posted a 1-1 record. On Friday, Dosan made 43 saves as the Cyclones handed the Grizzlies their first loss of the season in a 4-2 win. The next night, he made 47 saves in the 3-2 loss.

East Division Star of the Week: Teito Ishigaki, Forward, New Jersey Titans

New Jersey forward Teito Ishigaki, 16, had a big week as he played in three games. The 5’8/158 lbs. native of Tokyo, Japan, had five points in the three games, which included three goals and two assists. On Wednesday, he had a season-high two goals in a 8-6 loss to Danbury. On Thursday, he had an assist in a 5-2 loss to Long Beach. On Saturday, he the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Norwich. In 13 games played so far this season, Ishigaki has 15 points.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Declan Young, Forward, Gillette Wild

Gillette Wild forward Declan Young, 20, took over the NA3HL scoring lead with a huge weekend as Gillette picked up a weekend road sweep of Bozeman. The 6’0/180 lbs. native of Fergus Falls, MN, had seven points in the two wins, which included five goals, two assists and a +8 rating. On Friday, Young had a goal in a 5-3 win. On Saturday, he had four goals, including the game-winner and two assists in a 9-4 win. For the season, Young currently leads the NA3HL in scoring with 38 points in just 16 games played.

South Division Star of the Week: Patrick Wyers, Forward, Oklahoma City Ice Hawks

Wyers, 20, was a one-man offensive show over the weekend as the Ice Hawks won four straight games against Atlanta. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Minnetonka, MN, racked up 12 points in the four wins, which included three goals and nine assists. On Thursday, he had two goals and four assists in an 11-2 win. On Friday, he had an assist in a 6-1 win. On Saturday, he picked up three assists in a 10-2 win, and then on Sunday he had a goal and an assist in an 8-2 win. In 10 games this season, Wyers has recorded 22 points.

West Division Star of the Week: Jack Campion, Forward, Mason City Toros

Mason City forward Jack Campion, 20, had a big week as the 6’0/170 lbs. native of Crystal, MN, put up eight points in three games played. Campion began his week on Thursday with a pair of assists in a 6-3 home win over Willmar. On Friday, Campion had two goals, including the game-winner, in a 7-3 road win against the New Ulm Steel. On Saturday, he had a goal and three assists in a 6-2 win in New Ulm. Campion leads the Toros in scoring with 30 points in 15 games played.
