The Sharks headed to Blaine to finish out 2025 and play in the NA3HL Showcase but unfortunately came up short.
The Sharks took on the St. Louis Jr. Blues out of the Central Division in their first game and struggled with getting shots through to the Blues’ goalie. Sean Bailey managed to get one past in the second, but that was all the scoring they could find. The Sharks fell to the Blues, 4-1.
Their second game against the Sheridan Hawks of the Frontier Division was the most exciting game for the Sharks in the Showcase. Sean Bailey kicked off the scoring for the Sharks early in the first, but the Hawks answered back pretty quickly. Alec Dahlvang and Jack Plummer added to the scoring in the first, but the Hawks did as well, taking advantage of a couple of power play opportunities. These two clubs went into the first intermission tied at 3. Sheridan took the lead in the second and added to their lead in the third, but the Sharks answered back with goals by Jace Tourtillott and Jack Plummer, sending this game into OT. Neither team found the back of the net in OT, so a shootout would settle the score. Sean Bailey and Jack Baker were able to score in the shootout, but it wasn’t enough. The Hawks went on to win in a shootout 6-5. Nicklas Walker was solid in the net, stopping 67 of 72 shots.
For their last game of the Showcase, the Sharks faced the New Mexico Ice Wolves of the South Division, and the Sharks couldn’t find their offensive groove. The Sharks fell to the Ice Wolves 4-0.
The Sharks are back in action in 2026 as they take on the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings the first weekend in January.
