The Sharks had a home-and-home series with the Norwich Sea Captains this week and came up with two big wins!

On Wednesday, the Sea Captains visited Long Beach, and the Sharks were ready for them.  Brendan Dalton kicked off the scoring for the Sharks in the first.  He added a second goal before the period ended.  The Sharks continued the scoring in the second with two goals by Eli McCarthy and a goal by James Steinberg.  Captain Jay Montgomery added a power play goal in the third.  The Sharks went on to defeat the Sea Captains by a score of 6-1.  Will Zinnen was outstanding in net, stopping 50 of 51 shots.

On Saturday, the Sharks took a drive up i95 to Norwich for the second game of their two-game series with the Sea Captains, and they picked up another two points.  Again, Brendan Dalton kicked off the scoring in the first.  His linemates, Sean Bailey and Gustav Martinsson, also added to the scoring in the first.  Sean Bailey found the back of the net two more times in the second period for his first hat trick of the season.  In the third, defenseman David Hasselberg scored his first NA3HL goal.  The Sharks went on to defeat the Sea Captains by a score of 6-3.

Bailey’s performance in these two games earned him the NA3HL East Star of the Week!

The Sharks are back in action on Wednesday when they head to New Jersey to take on the Titans.  Puck drop is at 1:00pm.  Catch all of the action on NATV.
