The Long Beach Sharks split last weekend’s road series with the Cape Cod Islanders. On Saturday, Sept 30th, the Sharks dominated play and shut-out the Islanders 4-0. Long Island-native, Mike Walsh (Hicksville, NY) had a hat trick scoring three (3) goals in the game. In addition, Noah Carlock (Columbus, Indiana) had a “Gordie Howe Hat Trick” having registered a goal, three (3) assists and a fight. Luc Meier (Laguna Beach, California) registered three (3) assists. On Sunday, Oct 1st, the Sharks lost a hard fought rematch 5-1. Shark’s goalie, Ryan Cortez (Norco, California), faced forty-four (44) shots making thirty-nine (39) saves.
Next up: the Sharks host the Coastal Division leading Northeast Generals at the Long Beach Arena this coming weekend. The puck drops on Friday, October 6th at 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 7th at 8:05 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive a free Sharks refrigerator magnet schedule.
