Game 2, East Division Play-In Series: Sharks 5 vs. Bobcats 2 (Sharks win series, 2-0) – The Sharks picked up a sweep of their East Division Play-In series of the Bobcats thanks to a 5-2 win in Game 2 on Wednesday. Sharks goalie Artem Lantukh made 35 saves in the win.
Five different players scored for the Sharks, who jumped out to a commanding 4-0 lead thanks to a 1st period goal from Aleksandr Gamzatov and three more goals in the 2nd period from Sam Brickley, Matthew Anastasio, and Dylan Harbour.
The Bobcats tied to make a game of things in the 3rd period with back-to-back goals from JayVon Fogelgren and James Sandison, which cut the Sharks lead down to 4-2. However, a goal late in the period from Stephen Conklin secured the 5-2 win and the series.
Nathan Moffitt made 32 saves in the loss.
The Sharks now advance to the East Division Semi-Finals where they will take on the #1-seeded Northeast Generals in a Best of 3 series.
