During the second period, Mukovoz answered for the Sharks with a goal at 3:15 with assists from Bedard and Vlacich. Tehan quickly followed with a goal at 4:47 with helpers from Ventura and Audette. Malone put in a goal at 18:56 with assists from Mccormick and Romano.
In the third period, Mukovoz answered for Long Beach with a goal at 4:14 with helpers from Bergman and Bedard. Berry quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:23 with assists from Audette and Mccormick.
