The Sharks struggled against the Islanders 5-1 in home game

The Long Beach Sharks' defense had a poor night, allowing the Cape Cod Islanders 30 shots throughout the game. The Cape Cod Islanders took the lead late in the first on a goal from Jake Caplan and never looked back.

Jake Caplan contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Jack Conway did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, St. Amand opened the scoring for the Islanders with a goal at 17:41 with helpers from his linemates, Lima and Kervinen. Caplan quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:35 with helpers from his linemates, Huss and Therrien.

In the second period, Purdue scored a goal at 5:31 with assists from his linemates, Caplan and Conway.

During the third, Caplan netted a goal at 6:53 with assists from his linemates, Lima and Huss. Wellmeyer finally put the Sharks on the board with a goal at 9:35 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Bergman. Conway answered for Cape Cod with a goal at 13:51 with helpers from his linemates, Therrien and Smith.

This loss brings the Long Beach Sharks’ record to (3-3-0-0).
