Walsh's hat trick helped the Sharks crush the Islanders 4-0

Mike Walsh led the way with a hat trick as the Long Beach Sharks crushed the Cape Cod Islanders 4-0 in a home game at Falmouth Ice Arena in Long Beach. Noah Carlock also had a big night with 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists). Besides, the Long Beach Sharks' offense had a big night, peppering the Islanders with 28 shots throughout the game, to go along with Ryan Cortez's shutout. The Long Beach Sharks took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mike Walsh and never looked back.

Luc Meier delivered for his team with 3 assists.

During the first period, Walsh opened the scoring for the Sharks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:38 with helpers from his linemates, Meier and Carlock. Walsh put in a goal at 16:32 with assists from Stober and Carlock.

In the third, Walsh deposited a goal at 4:20 with helpers from his linemates, Carlock and Meier. Carlock netted a goal at 19:57 with assists from his linemates, Wellmeyer and Meier.

Long Beach’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Cortez’s shutout, as he stopped all 24 of the shots he faced. On the other hand, Cortez’s counterpart, Maki, and the Islanders’ defense had to remove a few pucks out of the back of his net stopping only 24 of 28 shots.

This win brings the Long Beach Sharks’ record to (3-2-0-0).
