After spending the first few weeks of February on the road, the Sharks were back in Long Beach this weekend to host the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks and what a weekend it was! The Sharks offense showed up in force as they swept the Jr. Hat Tricks in their two game weekend series.
In the Saturday evening showdown, the Sharks topped Danbury 3-1. Sam O’Neil came up big with two goals on the night. Nolan Nemecek also found the back of the net while Mason Jackson contributed with two assists. Colten McIntyre was victorious in net with 42 saves.
In the Sunday afternoon matinee, Colin McPherren opened the scoring for the Sharks in the 1st. Mason Jackson found the back of the net on two occasions and Nolan Nemecek light the lamp with his 18th goal of the season. Chris Keller rounded out the scoring with an empty netter late in the 3rd. Sam O’Neil also tallied two assists on the afternoon. Joey Christophel began Sunday’s game in net, but after a lower body injury in the first, Jackson Black was called in to finish the job. Sharks with a big 5-2 win.
The Sharks are back in action for a midweek matinee in New Jersey on Wednesday. Puck drop is at 1:00pm.
