Long Beach Sharks fall short against the New Hampshire Jr. Mountain Kings despite playing 2 solid games. On Saturday, the Sharks fell 3-1 (including an empty net goal) in a hard-fought game. Colton McIntyre stood tall in net and despite a strong push in the third period, the Sharks were unable to get the tying goal. On Sunday a similar result. After falling behind 1-0 in the first, the Sharks created numerous quality scoring chances in the second and third period but just could not crack the goaltending of Manny Pantow. Joey Christophel had a strong outing in net for the Sharks.
Long Beach will now look forward to a three-game weekend starting on Friday in Norwich, CT, and then returning home to finish the season off with a pair of home games, Saturday vs. Norwich and Sunday vs. Danbury.
