Sharks played a 3 game series against the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks this past weekend.
For game 1 the Sharks traveled up to Danbury on Veterans Day from a mid-day start. Jack Fitzpatrick put on a scoring clinic putting up 4 goals leading the Sharks to a 7-2 victory. Ryo Murakami had the start and made 26 saves.
Game 2 saw the Sharks hosting the Hat Tricks at Long Beach Municipal Ice Arena. Sharks jumped to a 2 goal lead thanks to Logan Plante and Sam Barnitz. Hat Tricks tied the game by the start of the 3rd period but Jack Fitzpatrick broke the tie with a late goal and Henry Slager added an empty net to solidify the 4-2 win. Ryo Murakami made 25 saves for his 2nd win of the weekend.
Game 3 the Sharks traveled back to Danbury for a Sunday night contest. Sharks bit first with an early goal by Matus Fialka just 46 seconds into the game. Colin McPherren would add another goal midway through the 1st period and Gabe Hopkins would put the nail in the coffin for the Hat Tricks adding his 3rd of the season late in the 3rd period. Ryo Murakami got his 3rd win of the weekend by stopping all 21 shots in the 3-0 victory!
Sharks host the Danbury Hat Tricks this Saturday, 11/19, at 5:00pm and the New Jersey Titans this Sunday, 11/20, at 2:30pm. Both games will be played at Long Beach Municipal Ice Arena.
